Christmas Robin Tree Decoration

Today I am sharing another free tutorial for a crochet Christmas Tree Decoration, last year I designed a Xmas Pudding, this year I have designed TWO more Tree Decorations, the first is a Christmas Robin Tree Decoration….scroll down for the FREE pattern.

Inspiration & Design

I wanted to create a collection of Christmas tree decorations, after the success of my pudding, this pattern actually sells all year round!

After playing around with designs, I couldn’t decide on a favourite, so you will get two tree decoration patterns this year.  this is the pattern for my Christmas Robin Tree Decoration. (the next pattern will be published shortly)

Did you Know that…Robins have been associated with and seen as a traditional Christmas bird for many years. Victorian British postmen were nicknamed ‘robins’ because of their red-breasted uniforms, the idea caught on and the robins, now seen on Christmas cards, represent the postmen that deliver the cards.

Yarn

I wanted to keep the colours matching throughout my Christmas decoration collection, so chose to use Deramores Studio DK, is an Anti-pilling super soft yarn, that comes in 48 amazing colours!

For this pattern I used

Yarn A – Chocolate

Yarn B – Ruby

Yarn C – Citrine

Yarn D – Pearl

Whatever DK weight yarn you chose to work with, you’ll have some stunning new home decor for the festive season!

(Sadly Deramores have now closed their doors)
